People ask me regularly: how did you become a goldsmith? It is a question I always answer with pleasure, because the answer says something about who I am and why I do what I do.

A fascination that began early

From a young age I was fascinated by small, precise things. The idea that you can make something with your hands that lasts, that is worn, that tells a story: that spoke to me deeply. Jewellery is not just objects. They are memories, promises, symbols of love.

The choice for the profession

Choosing goldsmithing felt like the most logical step. I did not just want to design beautiful things on paper; I wanted to be able to make them with my own hands. The combination of creativity, technique, and precision: that is what draws me to this craft.

The studio in Oud-Heverlee

My studio in Oud-Heverlee is more than a workshop. It is the place where ideas come to life. Where a client walks in with a dream and leaves with a piece of jewellery. Those moments are the reason I go to work with joy every day.

What drives me

The most beautiful thing about my profession is the connection with people. Every piece I make carries a story. An engagement ring that seals a proposal. An heirloom given a new life. A mother’s ring with the birthstones of her children. Those stories make my work meaningful.
