Stacking rings are one of the biggest jewellery trends of recent years. The idea: wearing multiple thin rings together on one finger for a layered, personal look. But how do you do it stylishly?

Start with an anchor piece

Choose one ring as your base, for example a slightly wider band or a ring with a small stone. Build all other rings around it. This gives structure to your combination.

Play with materials and colours

Combine yellow gold with white or rose gold. Mix smooth bands with textured or engraved rings. Add a ring with a small stone for a touch of colour. Contrast is fine, as long as there is a common thread running through the look.

How many rings should you combine?

Three to five rings on one finger is the sweet spot for most people. Fewer than three can sometimes look unfinished; more than five can become overwhelming. But there are no fixed rules: wear what you find beautiful.

Spread across multiple fingers

You do not have to wear all rings on the same finger. Rings spread across multiple fingers give a nonchalant, bohemian feel.
