How to Choose the Right Ring Size: Tips for a Perfect Fit

A ring that is too tight is uncomfortable. A ring that is too loose disappears down the drain. Choosing the right ring size is crucial, but fortunately easier than you think.

How do you measure your ring size?

The most reliable method: visit a jeweller and have your finger measured with a ring sizing set. This is always the most accurate.

Measuring at home is also possible:

• Wrap a thin strip of paper or thread around your finger
• Mark where it overlaps
• Measure the length in millimetres
• Look up your size on a ring size chart

What should you keep in mind?

• Measure at the end of the day: fingers swell slightly throughout the day
• Measure at room temperature, not in cold or heat
• Wider rings fit tighter: go half a size up
• Your dominant hand is often slightly larger than the other

What if you are unsure?

When in doubt, always go slightly larger. Making a ring smaller is easier than making it bigger. And a slightly loose ring is more comfortable than one that is too tight.
