Book a meeting

One of the most frequently asked questions when people want a custom piece of jewellery made: how long does it take? The answer depends on the type of piece, the complexity, and how busy the studio is. Here is an honest overview.

A simple ring or necklace

For a simple piece without a stone, such as a plain wedding band or a thin necklace, allow 2 to 3 weeks. This includes the consultation, the design, and the production.

A ring with a stone or more complex design

An engagement ring, a ring with a gemstone, or a more complex design takes more time: allow 4 to 6 weeks. The stone needs to be ordered and checked, the design requires more discussion, and production is more involved.

Reworking an heirloom

Reworking an existing piece can take slightly longer, depending on how much material is reused and how complex the new design is. Allow 3 to 5 weeks.

Plan ahead

Do you want a piece for a special occasion such as a wedding, birthday, or holiday? Plan well in advance. I always recommend getting in touch at least 6 to 8 weeks before the desired date.
